Mohanty’s two collections of poetry unveiled
Bimurta Balaya and âDhwani Gandharaâ, two collections of poetry written by Balabhadra Mohanty, were unveiled in Khariar on Sunday in the presence of poets, writers and hundreds of literature lovers.
A meeting held for this purpose was chaired by Dr Sushant Bishi, former member of the Odisha Sahitya Akademi. The poems were reviewed by Gauranga Sahu, teacher, Raja AT High School and Professor Bijaya Barik. âThe poet’s imagination is limitless; the collections of poems will make a unique contribution to the literary world and reach all corners of society, âthe critics said. Poet Balabhadra Mohanty is a well-known personality from the Nuapada district. Very good teacher, he remained a source of inspiration for his students. He is also known as a wonderful speaker with language control, precise use of words, and efficient use of his voice. He has a great knowledge of local history, culture and traditions. Dr Fanindam Deo attended the book unveiling ceremony as the main guest while Neel Lohit Singh Deo, a former member of the Odisha Sahitya Akademi, and Gitashree Priyambada were the keynote speakers. âThe poetry collections have been influenced by the world around the poet – village life, his longstanding interest in people, society and nature,â the speakers said.
