Peterborough GCSE Results Day: Students shine at Stanground Academy
The Stanground Academy is happy to share a year of brilliant results for its students, despite the challenges of the pandemic.
Individual success stories include:
-Viktoria Vaszicskin, who graduated 7th grade in English Literature, English Language, Mathematics, Combined Science, German and Geography and Distinction * in Business and Marketing.
-Josephine Mandin, who graduated 4th grade in English Literature, English Language, German and Sociology. Joséphine also obtained a distinction * in dance, 2nd year 8th year in history and mathematics and 3rd year 7th year in combined science and statistics.
-Anais Smith, who graduated 4-9 in English Literature, English Language, History and Sociology. Anais also obtained a distinction * in sports science, an 8th year in mathematics and a 7th year in science and French combined as well as a 6th year in statistics.
-Sarah Chengo, who completed 3 9th year in English Literature, English Language and Sociology, a distinction in Sports Science, 5th 8th year in Mathematics, History, French and Combined Science and a 5th year in Statistics.
-Nathan Isa-Onojobi, who earned 2 Distinction * s in Business and Marketing and Sports Science, 8th and 9th year in Combined Science, 4th 8th year in English Literature, English Language, German and History, 7th year in Mathematics and a 6th year in statistics.
This year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the government decided that students ‘grades would be based on the work they produced throughout their coursework and that students’ final grades would be moderated and assessed by external review boards.
