The waste we inherit / The waste we create: a poetry workshop

STATEN ISLAND, NY – Poets Jenny Pisani and Thomas Fucaloro of Freshkills Park Studio + Gallery are hosting a special poetry workshop that will take poets (18+) of all experience levels through the generative and creative process of writing a poem.

Poets will work step by step to reflect and deconstruct their process and create a poem that explores the emotional waste that we inherit, cling to, let go and turn into something intentional, in the same way, layers of a cork discharge.

This event will take place on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Freshkills Park Studio + Gallery, located at 2240 Richmond Avenue Staten Island, NY 10314. The site is accessible by car or Bus S44, S59 and S94 at the Richmond Ave / Travis Ave and Richmond Ave / Draper Pl S.

Writing materials, including pens, pencils and paper, will be provided. Click here to join.
