Note: Watertown poet and creative writer! Lit Squad is a “young and still young” group of published amateur writers who wish to encourage and nurture poetry and all the literary arts in this diverse community.

The team is part of the Watertown Arts Market, which takes place at Arsenal Park from noon to 5 p.m. on August 21.

Sell ​​your work, get your work done, appreciate the work of others, and join us to meet other writers during the day. We have a commission free sales table for your books and related products. It includes a 10 minute read by a well-established poet in Watertown, followed by a 3-5 minute open mic read by all visitors with a sound system and chairs at 1 and 3 p.m. We can offer interactive writing / reading events for families. , Will be decided.

We also sell samples of works by artists from Watertown to the table. Perhaps for the first time, if you want to include your work publicly, have each writer design and illustrate the original work on one side (poetry or prose), 25 copies per page, 8.5 x 11 inches . like you want. Twenty-five samples of these individual contributions will be summarized alphabetically and provided as a souvenir to support next year’s fair. To be included, you must leave 25 copies of your double-sided page between Dewitt Henry’s front door alcove at 33 Buick Street by August 15. Does not include editorial selections.

Writers of all ages and languages ​​are welcome, but be sure to provide an English translation to work in another language and keep the material family friendly. If your work has already been published, you must credit the publisher and show your copyright. Finally, include a brief note from the contributor, including a webpage, Facebook page, and other contact information or photos.
